We like eating. It fascinates us. We sit and look at the food for hours. We often eat while laying down in my hotel room with a bib in my lap and my outlook calendar open. Eating is our tweeting, except it's much cooler. Food is often made into the celebrity of carnage, which makes us appear to be pompous and scarce in regards to the act of eating itself. You eat because you fuel. We eat because we're hungry. We eat because it's our job. We go out to these establishments to consume their lineups with arrogance.

Greetings folks, it's been awhile for a lil' biscuit review. I've been nose deep in work for the past few weeks and blogging has been put on the back burner. I know, it's a crying shame right. 51 Front is a lil' gem in Ballston Spa, NY just north of Albany and South of Saratoga Springs. It has a great wide-ranging menu that encompasses a diverse taste for food lovers. My wife and I really enjoy this place and it's a nice short retreat to get away from the Saratoga Broadway shit show.
What I ingested:
We started out with a Baked Eggplant (pictured on the right) with a balsamic reduction. This may have been the best eggplant I've ever ingurgitated. Is that a word? Well, it was a simple dish with big flavors cooked to perfection. For dinner I ordered the jumbo coconut shrimp with vanilla grits. Again, big flavors and nice contrasts and you can tell by the picture - a beautiful arrangement on the plate. I ordered a bottle of Merkin Vineyards 2006 Chupacabra to get my swerve on and we ended the meal with strawberry cake from the mysterious, local "cake man". ( I need to find out who he is)
51 Front is a cozy, quaint Bistro that serves wonderful, creative plates in a very warming atmosphere. The concept is owned by a husband and wife team where you will see them actively involved with the guests and operations. If you're ever in Ballston Spa, NY - make this place your first stop.
